Some Applications will need small amounts of Air or Nitrogen on location. The LTB300 bar booster will boost the air or nitrogen from an existing network, screw of N2 generator till 300bar. This to store the gas in bottles which can then be used anywhere on the facility. Similarly, applications demanding Air or N2 from 90 till 300 bar (1300 – 43500 psi) can by supplied directly by the LTB300.
Atlas Copco’s LTB300 oil lubricated reciprocating booster compressor is designed for operating between 90 and 300 (1300 – 43500 psi) bar with capacities from 85 up to 830l/min. The inlet is
designed to receive the gas between 5 and 11 bar (72.5 -160psi) depending on the model.
The gas to be re-compressed is applied at inlet manifold (1) to the 1st stage cylinders (2) of the compressor at a pressure of 5 till 11 bar (72.5 -160psi). The intake pressure is monitored by a safety valve which is adjusted to the max. inlet pressure. In the LTB5-300 to LTB15-300 there are two 1st stage cylinders which compress the gas to a pressure of approx. 60 to 70 bar (870 to 1015 psi). Before the compressed gas enters the 2nd stage it is re-cooled by the intercoolers (3) The condensate resulting from the re-cooling process is separated by the intermediate separator (4). The inter- pressure is also monitored by a safety valve. In the 2nd stage cylinder(s) (5) – 1 Cylinder for the LTB5-300 and LTB7-300, 2 cylinders for the LTB10-300 and LTB15-300. The gas is finally compressed to the respective operating pressure of the unit. On leaving the 2nd stage, it is passed through the aftercooler (6) and then routed to the oil and water separator (7). Finally, before reaching the outlet the gas is send trough the purification system.
Controller – The unit is foreseen with a B-control system. This will allow you to easily set both inlet and outlet pressure bands, regulate the flow and follow-up the operational process of the unit.
Purification system – At the end of the compression, after de final separator a purification system is foreseen to guarantee the high quality of Air and Nitrogen. With the unit comes an extra filter cartridge to do the first replacement.
Pressure and temperature sensors – The LTB300 is equipped with pressure and temperature sensors to monitor its operations closely.
